Matriculation-level recruitment by the Staff Selection Commission for Constable (General Duty) in the central armed police forces, decided by a computer test, physical tests and a medical exam.
Staff Selection Commission Constable (General Duty) in CAPFs, SSF, Rifleman in Assam Rifles and NCB is conducted by Staff Selection Commission. Selection runs through 3 stages: Computer Based Examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST), Detailed Medical Examination and Document Verification.

Passed the matriculation (10th standard) examination or an equivalent from a recognised board on the cut-off date stated in the notification.

Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on ssc.gov.in
Register once with your name, date of birth and contact details, and keep the registration number and password for all SSC exams.
Fill the GD Constable application form
Log in, open the Constable (GD) notice, complete the form, choose your force preferences and upload the photograph and signature to the stated specifications.
Pay the fee and submit
Pay online where applicable or claim the exemption, then submit and save the printout and receipt.
Entry basic pay is Rs 21,700 at Level 3, plus force-specific allowances that depend on the posting. Confirm the exact figures from the official notification.

0.25 marks for each wrong answer, out of the two marks a question carries. Unanswered questions carry no penalty, so guess only when you can eliminate options.

Qualifying. The PET and PST only decide whether you proceed; the merit rests on the Computer Based Examination score. You must still meet every physical standard to be selected.
