A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university, or an equivalent qualification.
Proficiency in the local language of the state or union territory you apply to is required, and the notification specifies that the candidate should have studied the local language at a stated level. Working knowledge of computers is expected.
18 to 28 years as on the cut-off date stated in the official notification.

No. The merit list is built from the Main examination alone, which makes that paper decisive. Officer Scale I in the same cycle does have an interview.

It is a hard condition, not a preference. Regional Rural Banks serve local communities, and candidature is cancelled if proficiency cannot be established, regardless of your written score.
