Union Bank of India Local Bank Officer (JMGS-I) Recruitment is conducted by Union Bank of India. Selection runs through 3 stages: Online Examination, Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT), Personal Interview.

A Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a University recognised by the Government of India, or an equivalent qualification.

The Local Bank Officer is posted within the state applied for, so proficiency in the specified local language of that state — reading, writing and speaking — is mandatory. Some LBO cycles also require prior banking experience; confirm the requirement in the current notice.

20 to 30 years as on the cut-off date stated in the official notification.

The LBO is recruited for a single state and generally posted within it, so local-language proficiency is compulsory. A normal PO can be posted anywhere in India.

Is there a descriptive paper?

Yes. Alongside the 155 objective questions, Union Bank's LBO online test includes a descriptive English paper (letter writing and essay) worth 25 marks, taking the total to 157 questions and 225 marks.

Do I have to clear each section separately?
