Rajasthan Common Eligibility Test — Senior Secondary (12th) Level is conducted by Rajasthan Staff Selection Board. Selection runs through 1 stage: Common Eligibility Test (Senior Secondary Level).

  1. Register on SSO Rajasthan and apply for the CET on the RSSB portal.
  2. Sit the 240-mark Common Eligibility Test and score the qualifying minimum.
  3. Be shortlisted, on your CET score, for the main examination of the Class 12-level post you apply to.
  4. Clear the post's main exam and any physical or skill test, then document verification, for final selection.

Educational qualification

Open toClass 12 pass

Passed Senior Secondary (Class 12 / 10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. Candidates in the final year may apply but must qualify before the final selection stage of the target post.

CET is qualifying: you must score the minimum (40% for general, 35% for SC/ST) to be shortlisted for the main examination of the post you apply to.

Age

18 to 40 years as on 1 January 2027, as stated in the 2026 notification.

How to apply

  1. Register on SSO Rajasthan

    Create or use your SSO ID, which is required to apply for RSSB recruitments and the CET.

  2. Fill the CET application form

    Complete the form on the RSSB portal and upload the photograph and signature to the stated specifications.

  3. Pay the fee and submit

    Pay the applicable fee online, submit the form and save the printout for reference.

  • Class 12 (Senior Secondary) mark-sheet and certificate
  • Bonafide / domicile certificate of Rajasthan where required

      How to prepare for Rajasthan CET (12th Level)

      • Rajasthan GK and the Administrative System is 100 of the 240 marks — make Rajasthan history, geography, polity, economy and culture your top priority.
      • The 2026 negative marking rewards accuracy over attempts; do not gamble, and always mark option E when you skip.
      • Cover everyday science, reasoning and mathematics, general Hindi and English, computer basics and current affairs — the paper is broad but shallow.
      • Practise full 120-question OMR papers in 2.5 hours to build the stamina and the fifth-option habit.

      Frequently asked questions

      Does clearing the Rajasthan CET give me a job?

      No. The CET is a qualifying eligibility test. Its score shortlists you for the main examination of Class 12-level posts; the main exam and further stages decide selection.

      What is the qualifying mark?

      40% for general candidates and 35% for SC/ST candidates, as per the 2026 rules.

      Is there negative marking now?

      Yes. From 2026, one-third of the marks is deducted for a wrong answer, and you must mark the fifth option (E) for any question you do not attempt, or the same penalty applies.

      How many questions and how long is the exam?

      120 questions for 240 marks (2 marks each) in 2 hours 30 minutes, offline in OMR mode.
