HAL: Tejas trainers, HTT-40 Ankur and Dhruv NG delivered

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) handed over two LCA Tejas FOC twin-seater trainers and three HTT-40 basic trainers to the IAF, and four Dhruv Next Generation (NG) helicopters to Pawan Hans Limited, in Bengaluru before Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu. The Tejas FOC twin-seater deliveries complete the FOC contract (16 fighters + 4 twin-seaters, placed 2010); the first series-production HTT-40 was named “Ankur”, beginning deliveries under a 70-aircraft contract. Dhruv NG is HAL’s civil-certified 5.5-tonne twin-engine helicopter for passenger transport, EMS and offshore logistics — marking HAL’s entry into the commercial rotary-wing segment. PIB

RBI: 3-day VRRR absorbs Rs 2,22,629 crore

The RBI conducted a 3-day Variable Rate Reverse Repo (VRRR) auction under LAF on 18 September 2026, with a notified amount of ₹2,25,000 crore. Banks offered ₹2,22,629 crore, fully accepted at a cut-off and weighted-average rate of 5.24%; funds reverse on 21 September 2026 (Monday) — part of ongoing surplus-liquidity management as banking-system liquidity remained elevated.
