SEMICON India 2026 — inaugurated by PM Modi on 17 September — concludes 19 September 2026 at Yashobhoomi (IICC), Dwarka, New Delhi, under the theme “Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem.” The fifth edition brought together 600+ participating companies, ~50,000 visitors, delegates from 52 countries, 400+ executives and 150+ speakers, with six Country Pavilions (Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, Singapore, Sweden) and 12 State booths. RBI: overnight VRRR scheduled for 21 September (announced 18 September)
On 18 September 2026, the RBI announced an overnight Variable Rate Reverse Repo (VRRR) auction under LAF for Monday, 21 September 2026, with a notified amount of ₹1,00,000 crore (tenor 1 day, window 9:30–10:00 AM). Funds are set to reverse on 22 September 2026 (Tuesday) — continuing the central bank’s series of VRRR operations to absorb surplus banking-system liquidity and anchor overnight rates near the policy repo rate.
