Before you start

Each question carries 1 mark and 0.25 marks are deducted for a wrong answer, exactly as in the SSC Stenographer CBT.
English carries half the real paper, so this drill weights it more heavily than the other sections.

Solution

Each letter moves forward by two places. F+2=H, R+2=T, I+2=K, E+2=G, N+2=P, D+2=F gives HTKGPF. Applying +2 to CANDLE: C+2=E, A+2=C, N+2=P, D+2=F, L+2=N, E+2=G, which is ECPFNG.
