Under the mirror rule, C becomes X, A becomes Z and T becomes G (T is the 20th letter, and its mirror is the 7th, G). So CAT is written as XZG.

Find the odd pair: (2, 8), (3, 27), (4, 64), (5, 30).
Solution
In each pair the second number is the cube of the first: 2 cubed is 8, 3 cubed is 27, 4 cubed is 64. But 5 cubed is 125, not 30, so (5, 30) is the odd pair.
Direction sense · solved example
A man walks 5 m north, turns right and walks 5 m, then turns right again and walks 5 m. Which direction is he now facing?
Solution
Facing north, a right turn makes him face east; a second right turn makes him face south. The distances do not change the direction he faces.
Syllogism · solved example
Statements: No cat is a dog. Some dogs are pets. Conclusions: I. Some pets are not cats. II. No pet is a cat. Which conclusion(s) follow?
Solution
The dogs that are pets cannot be cats, so some pets are not cats (I). II is too strong — other pets could be cats.
